Meta Pixel will count more sales from 12 November. Check this setting first

A new setting in Events Manager, Measure conversions on customer devices, is switched on by default and starts counting on 12 November. Here is what it does, where to find it and what to watch in your reports.

A new setting has appeared in Meta Events Manager called Measure conversions on customer devices. It is switched on by default, and the panel says it starts counting on 12 November 2026. If your Facebook or Instagram ads send people to your website, it is worth five minutes before then.

What it does

Some purchases never reach Meta through the Pixel or the Conversions API, often because of browser privacy settings. The new setting tries to match some of those sales on the shopper's own phone or computer, using an email address the customer has already given your business plus temporary device data. As PPC Land described it on 27 October, Meta learns that a purchase happened and which campaign gets the credit. The panel says the measurement happens on your customer's device instead of only on Meta's servers.

It runs alongside your Pixel and Conversions API and does not replace them.

Where to find it

In Events Manager, go to Data sources, choose your pixel and open Settings. The option sits under Automatically include more detailed page and product info, with the line Measurement starting November 12, 2026. You can switch it off at any time.

Who it applies to

  • Meta's help pages say it is not active for people in the EU and UK. Nothing we found excludes the Gulf, so expect it to run for shoppers in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
  • Reports citing Meta's help articles say the pixel has to be installed directly on the page, and the site needs customers to log in with an email address or phone number.
  • Meta has not said whether the extra conversions feed into bidding, how consent is handled or how it behaves in Safari.
  • One blog claimed up to 15 percent more tracked purchases. We could not find that figure from Meta or the trade press.

Before 12 November

  • Decide whether to leave it on. If your privacy policy or a client contract limits how customer data is used, check with whoever owns that first.
  • Mark the date in your reports. Stape warned on 22 October that cost per purchase may look lower and return on ad spend higher without any change in real sales.
  • Compare Meta's numbers with the sales in your own store or booking system for a few weeks either side of the change.
  • Give it time before you credit a campaign with a sudden improvement.
