Instagram carousel maker for designed slides and seamless swipes

Build a carousel from clean slide layouts in your colours, with a photo or video behind any slide, or split one wide image into slides that swipe as a single picture. English or Arabic, for Instagram or as a LinkedIn PDF, with nothing uploaded.

Free, no sign-up, and it runs in your browser

Your carousel

5 of up to 20 slides, 1080 × 1350. Instagram takes them as one post; the PDF is how LinkedIn shows a carousel.

What it does

There are two ways to work. Design slides gives you a set of layouts: a cover with a hook and a swipe cue, a text slide for a single point, a numbered list, a quote, and a closing slide with a call to action. Set your colours, font, handle and logo once and every slide follows. Any slide can carry a photo or video behind it, with the slide colour laid over it as strongly as you like so the words stay readable, and long text shrinks to fit rather than running off the edge.

Split a picture takes a panorama, a flat lay or a wide banner and cuts it into 2 to 10 slides that meet exactly, so the post swipes as one long image. Everything is drawn in your browser from what you type and the pictures you add, and the files are made on your device. It does not post for you: upload the images from your phone or your scheduling tool.

How to use it

  1. Choose Design slides or Split a picture.
  2. For designed slides, set your colours, font, handle and logo, then write one idea per slide. For a split, drop in a wide image, choose the number of slides and aim the crop.
  3. On a split image, keep faces and words away from the dashed cut lines.
  4. Download PNGs for Instagram, an MP4 for any video slide, or a PDF for LinkedIn.

Questions, answered

What size should an Instagram carousel be?

Most brands use 1080 by 1350 pixels (4:5) because it fills the most feed space. Square at 1080 by 1080 is fine, and 3:4 at 1080 by 1440 matches how the profile grid crops. Instagram displays every slide at the shape of the first one, so keep all of them identical.

How many slides can one carousel hold?

Instagram accepts up to 20 pictures in one post. The ones that tend to do well run to 5 to 10 slides: an opening slide that earns the swipe, a single idea on each slide after it, and a final slide asking people to save, share or follow.

How do I make a seamless carousel?

Pick Split a picture, add one wide image, set the number of slides and download. The cuts fall exactly where one slide hands over to the next, so the swipe feels like panning across a single picture. Keep faces and any text off the dashed lines.

Can a slide have a photo or video behind it?

Yes. Add a picture or video to any slide and it becomes the background, with the slide colour over it at whatever strength you choose. Video slides download as MP4 with the text on top; the recording happens live in your browser and can run to 60 seconds, Instagram's limit. Use Chrome or Safari: Firefox can only record WebM, which Instagram rejects.

Can I use it for LinkedIn?

It does that too. LinkedIn carousels are really PDFs uploaded as documents, one slide to a page. Build the slides, pick the LinkedIn PDF download, and attach that file to a post as a document.

Does it work in Arabic?

Yes. Arabic slides are set right to left, mirroring text, lists and quotation marks, and they can share a carousel with English slides.
