UAE, Gulf Standard Time (UTC+4). Weekend is Saturday and Sunday. Many offices finish at midday on Friday, so Friday afternoon behaves like the weekend.

The best windows to try first

  • Every day, 8pm to 11pm in UAE
Also good
  • Friday to Sunday, 5pm to 8pm in UAE

A starting point, not measured from any account. Post at a couple of these for three or four weeks, then let Instagram Insights, TikTok Analytics or YouTube Studio tell you when your own followers are online. They beat any general chart, this one included.

What it does

Most advice on posting times assumes a Saturday and Sunday weekend and a single time zone. The Gulf has two weekends and two time zones. The UAE (UTC+4) rests on Saturday and Sunday, and because many offices finish at midday on Friday, Friday afternoon behaves like the weekend too. Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain (UTC+3) take Friday and Saturday off, and so does Oman, which shares the UAE's UTC+4.

Behind the chart are things that do not change from account to account: time zones, working weeks, the rhythm of commutes, lunch and evenings, and how Ramadan rearranges the day. It is not measured from anyone's analytics, and a general chart could not be. Start with it, then after three or four weeks of posting let your own numbers lead. If a campaign covers both the UAE and Saudi Arabia, run two schedules, an hour apart and with different weekends.

How to use it

  1. Choose the country your audience is in and the platform.
  2. Switch to Ramadan if the campaign runs during the holy month.
  3. Post at two or three of the strongest windows for three or four weeks.
  4. Compare reach per post by time in Instagram Insights, TikTok Analytics or YouTube Studio, and move your schedule to what your audience actually does.

Questions, answered

When is the best time to post on Instagram in Dubai?

For most days, the evening, from about 8pm to 11pm, is the strongest stretch. Working days show a smaller bump around lunch, and Saturday and Sunday, the UAE weekend, stay busy through the afternoon. Friday afternoon behaves the same way because many offices close at midday. Start testing with these slots and let your own Insights refine them.

Is it different in Saudi Arabia?

The shape of the day is much the same, but Saudi Arabia takes Friday and Saturday off and runs an hour behind the UAE. Sunday, a quiet day in Dubai, is a working day in Riyadh. Run both markets from one schedule and one of them will always be out of step, so plan two.

When should I post during Ramadan?

Once iftar is over. The fasting hours are quiet and the working day is shorter; use rises from about 8pm, carries on late (often beyond midnight) and picks up again near suhoor. Choose Ramadan and the chart follows that pattern.

Where does the data come from?

Not from any account's analytics; a general chart never could. It rests on fixed facts: time zones, working weeks, the everyday rhythm of commuting, lunch breaks and evenings, and the way Ramadan shifts all of it. Use it to start, and after three or four weeks trust your own figures more.

Does posting time still matter?

Less than it once did, now that feeds are ranked rather than shown in time order. But a post's first hour still shapes how far it travels, and posting while your audience is awake gives it the best start.
