Do my files get uploaded?
They are not. Every tool does its work inside your browser, opening, editing and saving the file on your own device, so nothing reaches ALXO or anyone else. That is what makes the tools suitable for contracts, invoices and ID documents.
Is it free to use?
Completely. You will not be asked to open an account, files come out without a watermark, and there is no daily cap. The processing happens on your own device, so there are no server costs to recover.
Can I use the tools on a phone?
Yes, in any up-to-date browser. Because the phone itself does the processing, very large files take longer there; the same file is usually quick on a computer.
Can the tools open a password-protected PDF?
Only if you have the password. In that case the remove-password tool strips it off in your browser, after which the other tools can work on the file. It will never guess, crack or get round a password you do not know.
